Why Mobility Will Set You Free!
Mobility isn't just about touching your toes…..its is about joining flexibility and stability together to help you have a body that moves well no matter what we are doing 😊
"Improving your mobility offers a host of benefits and can really be the key in building your fitness confidence..."
Mobility training can reduce muscle stiffness and soreness by improving your range of motion in joints. This makes everyday activities like bending, reaching, and twisting easier and more comfortable. If you like to play a sport, dance the night away or just get out in nature.. mobility can enhance your enjoyment in the activities you love to do. It also helps prevent injuries plus keeps you feeling agile and limber.
There are lots of factors that can affect our mobility… Life could have given you a hurdle to overcome and you have had to be inactive for a while, you could have picked up an injury, or you just have not enjoyed exercise and so do not move very much.
Alongside improving your balance, you really need to work on improving your body's mobility to help you to become fit for life
Remember, mobility isn't just about touching your toes – it's about moving well and as often as you can.
You can improve your mobility by performing purposeful movements that allows your body to be in control as you take it though its range of motion. Building flexibility with stability to bring on the improvements in your mobility.
What on earth are purposeful movements??
- Exercise movement patterns that activate the muscles supporting the moving joints as you slowly take them though their range of motion with breath work.
- Exercises that mimic life’s movements to help build neuromuscular control and proprioception.
- Movements though exercises designed to strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments around joints and also further along the kinetic chain.
My Gentle Movement class is there to help you to discover how your body moves, starting with building mobility and working on these purposeful movements.
This all sounds very technical I know….. but it really can be just starting to move your body more every day…. Little and often can really get you results as long as you just try to keep your joints happy and your movements fluid.
By dedicating time to improve your mobility, you'll not only enhance your athletic performance but also maintain your independence and quality of life as you age.
